Why The Temperance Academy?

The program is designed for individuals convicted for the offense of influence of alcohol and/or drugs, reckless driving or reckless endangerment.

A first time DUI offender may serve the required 48 hours of incarceration and complete 12 hours of DUI education as required by the State of Tennessee, in order to receive reinstatement of their driver's license. If you have an out of State License, you may be required to complete more than 12 hours.  This will need to be confirmed with your attorney.  You will receive 12 hours of DUI Education through The Temperance Academy. 

We teach the Prime for Life Alcohol/Drug Risk Reduction/Prevention Classes (12 hours) for the State of Tennessee Department of Health. All participants will complete a 22-question, self-administered MAST screening.
